Delete your data
Last updated 23 August 2026
You can delete your Couple Sathi account and everything in it at any time. There is no form to fill in and nobody to convince.
From inside the app
- Sign in to Couple Sathi.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone and choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted within 24 hours.
Changed your mind? While the request is still pending you can cancel it from the same screen, and nothing is deleted.
If you signed in with Facebook
Removing Couple Sathi from your Facebook account also starts a deletion. Facebook notifies us, we queue your account for deletion, and Facebook shows you a confirmation code. You can check what happened to it on our deletion status page.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@couplesathi.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We reply within 72 hours. We may need to check it is really you first — an account holds private messages between two people, so we would rather ask an awkward question than delete the wrong one.
What gets deleted
Everything attached to your account, including:
- your profile, photo and sign-in details;
- your chat messages, voice notes and love letters;
- photos you added to your memory wall;
- mood check-ins, answers to the daily question, streaks and medals;
- your subscription and order history;
- support tickets and sign-in security logs.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account afterwards, so please export anything you want to keep first.
What this means for your partner
Couple Sathi is shared by two people, so deleting your account changes what your partner sees. Letters you already sent them, messages in your shared chat and photos on your shared wall were delivered to them and may remain in their account — in the same way an email you have already sent cannot be recalled. Your shared streak ends.
If you need something specific removed from a shared space after a separation, write to us and we will help as far as we reasonably can.
What we may have to keep
Indian tax and accounting law requires us to retain records of transactions for several years. Where that applies we keep the minimum required and nothing more, which India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 expressly permits. Everything else goes.
Just want to unlink, not delete?
You do not have to delete your account to step back. In Settings you can unlink from your partner, turn off notifications, or opt out of the leaderboard, and keep everything else. See our Privacy Policy for what each of those changes.
