Terms of Service
Last updated 23 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and SathiVerse, a firm registered in Delhi, India, which operates Couple Sathi (“we”, “us”) — covering your use of couplesathi.app and the Couple Sathi app.
By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your information and forms part of this agreement.
1. Who may use Couple Sathi
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. We ask your age when you sign up. Some content is written for adults and is additionally gated behind both our highest membership tier and a separate consent step.
The service is built for, priced for and shipped to India. You may use it from elsewhere, but we make no promise that it suits the law of another country, and the shop delivers only within India.
2. Your account
Keep your login details private and your email address current — it is how we reach you about billing and security. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@couplesathi.app if you think someone else has access to it.
One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to claim referral rewards, discount codes or free trials more than once is a breach of these terms.
3. Linking with a partner
Couple Sathi works by linking two accounts. When you link, a large part of what you create becomes visible to your partner — messages, letters, memories, moods, your shared streak and timeline. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what. Link only with someone you intend to share that with.
Either of you may unlink at any time. Unlinking stops future sharing but does not retract what has already been delivered — a letter your partner has already received stays received.
We are not able to adjudicate disputes between partners about shared content. If you are dealing with a separation or a safety concern, write to us and we will help where we reasonably can.
4. Memberships and billing
Plans and what they cover
Couple Sathi has a free tier and paid tiers, priced on our pricing page. All prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
A paid plan covers both partners in a linked couple. If either of you subscribes, both get that level of access for as long as it is active. Only one of you needs to pay.
Free trial
New subscribers can start a 7-day free trial. You authorise a payment mandate when you begin it, but nothing is charged during the trial. When it ends we charge the plan’s normal price and the subscription continues, unless you cancel first.
Cancel any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged at all — you keep access until the trial’s last day. One trial per person, and because a plan covers both partners, one per couple.
Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, as you chose — until cancelled. Recurring payments are collected by Razorpay under a mandate you authorise at checkout, commonly a UPI Autopay mandate. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan & billing.
When you set up a mandate that does not collect anything immediately, Razorpay may debit a nominal amount — typically ₹5 — purely to verify it. Razorpay refunds this automatically; it is not a charge by us.
Cancelling
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, never immediately. You keep full access until then and are not charged again. We do not refund unused time within a period — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Changing plans mid-cycle
These work differently in each direction, deliberately, so that you never lose days you have paid for:
- Upgrading: you are charged the new plan’s price today and the higher tier starts immediately. Your remaining days on the old plan are honoured — the new billing cycle begins a full period after your existing plan would have ended, so you are not charged twice for the same days.
- Downgrading: nothing is charged today. You keep your current tier until the period you have paid for ends, and the cheaper plan — and its lower price — begins from that date.
Failed payments
If a renewal fails we retain your access for a short grace period and try again, and we will tell you inside the app. If payment still cannot be collected, paid features stop. Your data is not deleted when a subscription lapses — your letters, memories and history remain, and resubscribing restores access to them.
Price changes
We may change prices. Existing subscribers will be told at least 30 days before a change affects their renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect rather than accept it.
Discount codes
Promotional codes apply to a first subscription only, are limited to one per person, and discount the first billing period unless stated otherwise. Renewals are at the standard price. We may withdraw a code, and may cancel a discount obtained by creating additional accounts.
5. Referrals
You can invite others with your referral link. When someone you referred subscribes for the first time, you and they each receive a complimentary month of a paid tier. Referring a set number of paying members additionally qualifies you for a personalised gift, which we fulfil manually and which is subject to the terms shown when you claim it.
Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged. We may withhold or reverse a reward that appears to come from self-referral, duplicate accounts or other manipulation.
6. The shop
Physical products are sold subject to availability and delivered within India only. Prices, delivery charges and delivery times are shown at checkout and set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy; returns and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Product photographs are illustrative and colours vary between screens. If we cannot fulfil an order — or if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price — we may cancel it and refund you in full.
7. Your content
What you write, record, draw and upload stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.
To operate the service we need your permission to store it, transmit it to your linked partner, and process it — for example to compress a photo, generate a preview, or deliver a scheduled letter at the right moment. That permission is limited to running Couple Sathi for you, lasts only as long as you keep the content on the service, and does not let us publish it, sell it, use it in marketing, or train AI models on it.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload — particularly photographs of other people.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to harass, threaten, abuse, stalk or coerce anyone, including your partner;
- upload content that is unlawful, or that depicts or involves a minor in any sexual context;
- upload someone else’s intimate images or private content without their consent;
- impersonate another person, or link with someone by deception;
- attempt to access another user’s account, data or content;
- probe, scan or interfere with the security of the service, or attempt to defeat payment, entitlement or rate limits;
- scrape, bulk-download, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the service or its content;
- redistribute our card decks, prompts or other content outside the app;
- use the service to send spam, or for any commercial purpose we have not agreed to.
Adult content available on our highest tier is licensed to you for private use between you and your partner. Publishing or redistributing it is not permitted.
If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services. We are not an emergency service and cannot intervene in a crisis.
9. This is not therapy or professional advice
Couple Sathi is a set of prompts and tools for connection. It is not couples counselling, therapy, medical or psychological treatment, and it is not delivered by licensed professionals. Nothing here diagnoses anything, and nothing here promises any outcome for your relationship.
Some prompts invite genuinely difficult conversations. You are free to skip any of them. If you are going through something serious — abuse, a mental-health crisis, or a relationship in real trouble — please speak to a qualified professional.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Couple Sathi running and improving, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something materially valuable that you are paying for, we will tell you and, where it is fair, offer a pro-rated refund of the affected period.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
11. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or presents a genuine risk to another person or to the service. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right; for serious matters — particularly anything involving the safety of another person — we may act immediately.
You may close your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and takes effect within 24 hours; you can cancel the request before it completes. Note that closing your account affects shared content and may change what your partner can see. Closing your account does not by itself entitle you to a refund of a current period.
12. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent Indian law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data beyond our reasonable control, or for the consequences of what you and your partner say to each other through the service.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts at Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.
Please talk to us first. Most problems are settled quickly by email. If you are a consumer, nothing here prevents you from bringing a complaint before a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or the National Consumer Helpline instead.
14. Grievance Officer
As required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:
- Grievance contact: The Grievance Officer, SathiVerse
- Email: support@couplesathi.app
- Address: Delhi, India
Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. Reports of non-consensual intimate imagery are acted on within 24 hours.
15. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else; we may transfer them if the business is sold, on notice to you. These terms, with the Privacy, Refund and Shipping policies, are the whole agreement between us.
